Counseling


Guidance counselor assist students in many ways: 

> Help students to have a greater understanding of their graduation requirements and how to meet them. 
> Available to provide guidance to students having academic problems in classes. 
> Help students in scheduling their classes. 
> Provide information about college entrance testing and administer the SAT/ACT. 
> Discuss future career planning with students and make career information available to them.. 
> Assist students with personal and interpersonal concerns. 
> Provide students with referral agencies when appropriate.
> Help with the college application process. 
> Meet with all juniors and parents for future planning. 
> Involved in planning and/or administering Michigan Merit Examination. 
> Consult with teachers on specific student concerns. 
> Consult with students on attendance issues.
